Wintry Ta-Da’s!
Kinda like to-do’s but more like TA-DA’s!!! A curated list of fun things to do while vacationing with us in the winter!
Hygge House
Enjoy a scenic walk along North Beach - back at home hop in the hot tub for a wintry soak. Walk down the road to Red Tail Vineyards and pick up a bottle to enjoy by the fire inside. Very hygge of you!
Grays Lane
First of all, bring your pup on your vacay — Grays Lane is dog friendly! Wake up and start the day off right with a coffee from local roaster Stone Temple (just down the road), then head to Dunes Beach for a wintry hike. Pop into Lighthall Vineyards on your way home for a cheese + wine tasting.
Hull House
Pop into Wellington for Italian Pastries + coffee from Piccolina - walk down Water Street to see if there’s any wild wintry surfers! Drive back to Hull House, bundle up to walk across to the street for a wine tasting flight at Keint-he — head home and hit up a lengthy sauna sesh! Spend the rest of the day enjoying the view from the cozy sectional.
The Dainty Petunia
Pick up a few drinks from Kinsip Distillery to sip ;) in the coziness of the Dainty (crank the fire + throw on some pre-dinner tunes) before bundling up + strutting into town for your dinner reso at Bocado! HIGHLY recommend ordering the Florones. You won’t regret it. Before calling it a night, stop in at The Russ & Co on your walk home + grab a nightcap!
PLOT TWIST OPTION: make it a dinner + movie night! Check out what's playing at the historical Regent Theatre + catch a flick before your dinner reso. *All within walking distance* :D
Harbour Main
Pick up some Jankys from Matron Fine Beer for your hike up Macauley Mountain to get your body burning and deserving of your spa day at The Royal Hotel. Walk home to change and gussy up for your dinner reso at Onesta — just a short walk from home. Pop over to the Acoustic Grill to catch some live music before calling it a night.
Hambly House
Gear up and stroll the Springside Park Trail & Falls and Napanee River Boardwalk. Head to Mackinnon Brothers for a few toasty pints then head home - put on the fire and enjoy board games and dinner at home!
Wolfe Lake House
Bundle up and head to Westport for a hike at Foley Mountain then reward yourself with some pints/wings and live music at the Cove Inn. While in town, pick up all your charcuterie needs from local Rosie Yumski's Fine Foods shop + all your brewery needs from the Westport Brewing Company. Head home to catch the sunset while enjoying a soak in the hot tub. Lastly, put on the fire, arrange your charcuteries, and enjoy some board games + brews with your guests.
Narrows Nook
Start the day off in Picton with coffee + treats at Beacon / stroll the shops on Main Street. Then head home, bundle up for an outdoor campfire OR bring your gear for some ice fishing (some world class walleye fishing on the Telegraph Narrows)! Enjoy a home cooked meal, a fireside hang in the cozy basement living room.
County Queen
Go for a lovely stroll through Glenwood Cemetery (or bring a tabogan and hit up the epic hill in Delhi Park - Afterward, pick up a spread of local goodies for a tasty charcuterie board from Agrarian Market to snack on while cozied up in the living room before heading to Hartley’s (down the street) for desert and cap the night off at Russ + Co. with delicious cocktails! What a day!
Wellers Landing
Hop on Millennium trail (this end of the trail is said to be oh-so beautiful), pick up some local treats from Fawn Over Market to snack on at home. Mix up a pot of Mulled Wine to enjoy while you stoke an outdoor fire lakeside! Cap it all off by warming up inside in the sauna!
Demilune Lodge
Book a long weekend stay so that Sunday morning you can do Brunch at Stella’s Eatery in Waupoos. On your way home pick up a bottle of Pinot Noir from Long Dog Winery to enjoy with a home cooked meal. Cap it all off with a hot tub under the stars (roll in the snow if you’re feeling crazy!) and THEN get the fire cracking inside!
